| I got the recipe for the dough from here: http://i-bake-for-you.blogspot.com/2009/01/cny-taro-buns.htmlfor the taro paste filling, I just bought a taro root, and almost treated it like making mashed potatos... I took off the outside with a knife, the root is alittle hard so you don't exactly peel you just chop the outside part off. Then I cubed the inside root and boiled it till it was soft. I added sugar tot he water like 2 table spoon. Then I took out the pieces of soft taro and put them in a bowl and mashed them. I put enough sugar so that it was a sweetness I liked, and it was alittle dry so I put some of the left over water from boiling it till it was pasty like. Then I just wrapped up the taro with the dough and baked to the instructions on the website. They came out delicious, but they didn't last long(I made too many) so if you make them eat them up in a couple days. | |
