- Here's what you'll need
A skillet and spatula
This Recipe makes for 1lb of Hamburger meat. If you halve 2lbs, double up and so on.
1tsp Onion powder 1tsp Garlic powder 1tsp Ground Cumin 1/2tsp Cayenne 1tsp Paprika 1/2tsp Black Pepper 2tsp Chili Powder
1/4 cup of water (try 3/4 when cooking 2lbs of meat if you like particularly juicy taco meat, if you like it dry then 3 table spoons should be enough)
1. Start heating a pan on medium heat (spray it down or use oil, especially if it's non-stick). 2. Once you can hear it begining to sizzle, add your hamburger and cook till brown. 3. Drain grease (coffee cans are great for this, DO NOT POUR IT DOWN YOUR DRAIN YA CRAZY). 4. Continue heating on medium with your water. as it heats up again add all the spice contents (I usually mix them in a seperate bowl while the hamburger is cooking). 5. After you've throughly mixed in the spices your meat should look red (the Paprika and Chili Powder should do this). Make sure it's all red and throughly mix and continue heating on low heat for a few minutes till you feel it's cooked long enough.
DO NOT FORGET CUMIN! Cumin is in essence the whole flavor of taco meat, if you forget it you're a taco failure O_O.
Serve with cheese and lettuce in a hard taco shell or tortilla. Sourcream and Salsa are welcomed additions too >=3. Now eat some tacos cuz tacos rule. hay you know they make a season package to do that for you it's labeled taco seasoning lmao | |
